Tuesday 18th

Todays wake up was at 7:00am because breakfast was at 8:00. Breakfast, as usual, was tea, coffee or hot chocolate, (a personal preference to tea though) as well as cereal (we used up all the Coco Pops). We left for the secondary school at 9:00. This school was where James (our Zambian representative) taught chemistry and biology before he started coaching tag rugby. We drove in and had a walk around the school to meet the head teacher and deputy head.

After, we drove to the elephant orphanage, even though I was in a different minibus, I was told some of the group quizzed James on his chemistry and biology knowledge on the way! At the elephant orphanage we swiftly made our way over to the viewing platform to see the baby elephants feeding and playing in the mud and dust. They are here for 3 years which is as long as they need their mothers milk. Then, as they please, they are gradually released at the own will to the national park in to the wild. The elephants spent their time covering themselves in dust and water to protect them from the sun. The smallest elephant was cute! For lunch at the café in the sanctuary we had paninis or soup. They were noice! We were joined at the elephant orphanage by a local school that we sponsored. The school was called Mishishi school whom we had previously met at the tournament yesterday in which I refereed the final!! We had photos taken with them at the sanctuary. Shout out to all the those fams who sponsored the school visit!

The drive home was rather chaotic (I can't lie)! One van (the one I was in) stopped to pick up cereals and ulcer medication which we could not find...we had to go to three pharmacies to find it! Catastrophe strikes...Mr Horrod/s card got eaten by the cash machine! We all arrived home and I did some washing of socks in the sink and put up the washing lines for the other peeps in the chalet.

A beautiful meal of mushroom soup and lasagne for dinner with a lovely vegan option for myself! We played games such as darts, pool, poker and other card games. Lasagne had a 6/10 on the Ben ratings. Also the curtain in the bathroom broke in our room. And an additional story that Lily's bag got delayed and still has not arrived, hopefully it will arrive soon. 16 days left!!

A foot note from Ben "Well done on graduating Lexy!!"
