Farewell Zimbabwe!
This morning I woke up at 6:30 thanks to Bens amazing wake up calls. I had scrambled egg sandwiches and jam on toast. After breakfast we went to the school I was coaching at and held a tournament for all the schools that we have been coaching. We got there and set up the pitches. Sami and I taught the kids the Haka. I refereed some of the games on my pitch, however I may have missed a couple of offsides. None of the teams from my school made it to the final the tournament was very competitive! Cassie's team won and were very happy! There were a few tears from the team that came second! After the tournament we went to the camp we were staying in and packed up quickly then had lunch for the last time in Zimbabwe. We said our goodbyes and headed to the border back into Zambia. We had to walk across the border and got to see Victoria Falls. Then once we were past border force, we made our way to Fawlty Towers Hotel and went to our rooms to unpack. We are staying in dorm with bun...
Looking forward to putting those brick laying skills to good use when you get home Ava!
ReplyDeleteHey George - we miss you! Our food bill has been cut in half since you've been gone !! How's the Zambian food? What an experience for you all it looks like you've been so busy everyday. How are the referee skills going - the kids look like they're really fast! Izzy is working out if she can move into your room while you're gone, Maisie misses her little (big) brother, Dad has been at the golf all week and Rosie is only getting to walk with me (she misses you!) Hi Ciara, Maggie, Amelie, Fraser and all the gang from us too! Enjoy your time out there, we are very jealous of all the adventures you have been having (we've only just managed to log in today, so sorry we haven't said hi before!) Good news though Mum has had a clear scan so "pop of colour mum" is celebrating.... Love you lots Mum, Dad, Izzy, Maisie and Rosie xxxxx
